This website ("Site") at www.vetswap.co.uk is owned and operated by Vets Compared Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland (Company No: NI741225) with its registered office at 12a British Road, Aldergrove, Crumlin, Northern Ireland, BT29 4DH. VetSwap is a VetsCompared product. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. The VetSwap service

VetSwap helps pet owners request a free clinical records transfer between UK veterinary practices. You select your current practice and the practice you wish to move to; we facilitate the records request and related communications.

Completing a swap continues on this Site at /records-transfer (same brand experience). Related VetsCompared services may still appear in communications or clinic systems operated by the same company.

VetSwap is free for pet owners. Veterinary practices may pay a fee when a new client joins them through our services. Nothing on this Site constitutes veterinary advice; clinical care remains the responsibility of the practices involved.

3. Use of the website

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use and enjoyment of the Site by, any third party.

You must not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the Site, or use it to transmit harmful material such as viruses or malicious code. You must provide accurate information when submitting a swap request.

4. Intellectual property

All text, images, graphics, branding (including VetSwap and VetsCompared), and other content on this Site are the property of Vets Compared Ltd or its licensors. You may view and print pages for personal use only. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or use any part of the Site's content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

5. Clinic search data and restricted uses

Clinic search results and related directory metadata shown on VetSwap draw on VetsCompared directory data (the "Directory Data"), which is proprietary and protected by intellectual property law, database rights, and confidentiality obligations where applicable.

Unless we provide a separate written licence, you must not: (a) systematically extract, scrape, harvest, or republish Directory Data; (b) compile or reconstruct competing datasets; (c) use Directory Data to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or ground machine learning models for commercial products; (d) remove, alter, or suppress attribution, provenance, or integrity markers.

You must not bypass or attempt to bypass any technical protection measures, including rate limits, access controls, bot restrictions, fingerprinting controls, canary markers, or related anti-abuse systems.

This Site may contain links to external websites, including clinic websites and VetsCompared product pages. These are provided for convenience. Vets Compared Ltd is not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party sites or for any loss or damage that may arise from their use.
